Quick and easy. Made a math error on the total trip cost (I double counted one of the four flights). Emailed them and they fixed it (issuing a refund for the lower coverage total). Thanks!

just needed to feel secure about locking in tickets early when there are so many things to worry about as far as public interactions. bags and emergencies can get involved quickly . this is no nonsense and affordable. would tell any friend who flys to use.

I had a claim - I had to return early due to family illness. I started a claim w/ Berkshire Hathaway and rep sounded OK. Then I got their emailed long list of 13 Dr. statements, ID copies, consent forms, hotel receipts, cancellation policy of the airline[s], ticket copies, ticket numbers, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. they needed before they could begin to review my claim.

It would have taken me hours to get all this material together, if I could of at all. I would guess this is a technique they use to minimize payouts. I feel it would be a waste of my time to try to collect everything they wanted.

I thought one of Warren's companies would be better than this!!! Interesting dichotomy - ins. companies want to sell policies, but then they don't want to pay....

MATERIAL THEY WANTED:

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry that you were dissatisfied with your claim experience. It is industry standard for an insurance provider to require documentation to substantiate a claim. We understand that this can be a frustrating process, but we do want you and your fellow customers to be aware that InsureMyTrip offers a Customer Advocate Program. Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.
