I compare plans very carefully especially regarding terrorism and bankruptcy clauses as they are different from plan to plan. I've had to use my travel insurance before on trips and would never take an expensive trip without trip insurance.

For a trip to Paris with old friends (everyone over 70) the process of getting the insurance went very smoothly and it was comforting to know I was covered (including for a pre-existing condition) in the event that an incident occurred. However, the best part was that I didn't have to make a claim because all went well with the trip.
