I am a world traveler for over 30 years and this was my first experience with your company. I found your customer service representatives to be very unprofessional and I feel your company is unethical in its practices. Purchasing trip insurance from your company was a total waste of time and money. I filed a claim and was treated like a second class citizen for doing so.

We are very sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the service that you received from CF Travel Insured when trying to report a claim. Upon receiving your review, we did try to contact you for more information so that we could assign an "Anytime Advocate" who would support you in the claims process especially if you believe a claim has been unfairly denied, but you did not reply.

The claim that we made was processed fairly, but not promptly. I would suggest that anyone that is taking out a policy to obtain the medical treatment form before going on a trip since that appeared to be one of the major points of dispute with getting reimbursed. The provider just was not very willing to accept the medical statement that was provided from the ship. The second point is that one must be aware of the provisions of the policy and be prepared to remind, several times, what the contract of insurance actually states to the provider. Otherwise, the carrier will not seem to be aware what certain terms like "spouse" and "occupied same cabin" means in continually requesting the same information.

Crum and Forster Travel Insured calculates their Comprehensive Plan premiums based on age of traveler, trip cost and length of trip which is standard for the insurance industry. You did select one of our recommended plans based on our "Smart System" which uses thousands of data points, from a combined 18 years of travel insurance experience, to find the right plan for every traveler, every time. Although this plan was not the least expensive of our Comprehensive plans, it certainly offered your superior coverage at an economical premium.
