As a result of Hurricane Irene my family and I were stuck in Florida for 5 extra days due to our return flight being cancelled. Travel Insured paid out as promised. My only issue was that the check took about a month to be issued. This was a concern for us as we had to pay for the extra 5 days on our credit card and the credit card due date was approching quickly! Otherwise I would definetly recommend!

I am happy that I did not need the insurance because everything went well, but I had a Plan B if things did not work out well. One of my fellow travelers needed to be helicoptered out of our remote location. I hope that she had insurance.

This is the only website, I use for travel insurance. There are other places that offer travel insurance, credit card, the travel agencies, airlines, cruise lines, but I get more protection and cheaper. One time Carnival tried to sell me travel insurance, it was $40 cheaper to get it from InsureMyTrip for the exact same policy.
