Got sick on the cruise wanted to see the ships doctor but was afraid to use the policy to do this as I didn't wish to pay up front and hope that I would get paid back. I had a cold and the usuall remidies were not relieving my aches and pains and stop my caugh. Didn't think a cold would be covered.

No claims so we really do not know (thankfully) how good the policy is as we did not have a claim. But, it looked good and we were happy to have it.

Thankfully we did not need to make a claim, so I cannot speak to the claims process or whether coverage was to our liking. We did, however, feel confident that should an issue arise, our selected policy covered nearly all possible problems. I'd also like to say that I had a question regarding our coverage amount that Travel Insured was able to answer quickly via email. Their customer service was both efficient and effective.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. As you correctly pointed out, age does play a factor in determining premium. Trip cost and trip length are the other main factors.Dec 01,2014

I had no problems on my trip so I can't say how well the company backs up its responsibility if problems did occur. That would be a better evaluation.

I found the process to decide on the best insurance plan very efficient and easy to understand. Considering my overall cost for this trip, the cost for insurance was significant but worth it for our peace of mind. I found the added cost for car rental insurance competitive with the rental car agency quoted cost. All in all, it seem like a prudent choice for our peace of mind.
