I have not filed a claim on this plan, although I am looking into the coverage for a delayed flight. I purchased this one because it offered the best cost/coverage value for a three-week European trip.
I purchased a different plan last year, and did file a fairly large claim after having to return prematurely due to illness. While it took a couple of months to be paid, I was very satisfied with Insure My Trip's service and the results.

I think that I may have been overcharged a bit. I booked bargain priced airfare early and wanted 'cancel for any reason' insurance. When the itinerary was finalized months later, the bulk of the expense was either not paid, or only non refundable as the trip got close. Calling the insurance company, not the brokerage, I was advised to add these expenses to the policy - which I did. I now think I need not have insured these expenses.
Not a big deal to me at this time and probably my fault for not paying attention, but I thought I should mention it.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip 1 week prior to departure due to injury. C&F was very easy to work with and received a speed response and check. Less than 3 weeks from filing to approval. Claims, followups and progress checks can be done on-line. We will use C&F again on our next trip.

Their customer service is very good. We ended up switching itineraries/dates on our cruise and they allowed us to transfer the policy to the new booking with no hassle. Also, I had some medical expenses on our trip. We did not end up filing a claim because the coverage was excess of our own health insurance, but I did speak with one of their claims representatives who was very helpful explaining coverage.
