Older adults, even though very healthy, are unfairly charged for travel insurance......given there are many young and middle aged people in questionable health who pay half as much for the same coverage. It might be more fair [given actuarial tables are based on averages in general] to go on the basis of health.....even something as simple as how many medications someone takes. Or, charge everyone the same price, regardless of age.

Hard to write one since I've never had to issue a claim. As such, I'd like to see a 'good insurer' cost added to your rates so someone like me and my sister, who have paid you multiple times with no claims, could get a discounted rate for future trips.

Used this provider based on others reviews. Thanks God didn’t have to file a claim. In my opinion, only people who filed the claim could review this insurance company objectively.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the plan itself but I don't really know since I didn't have to do a claim. I also think that it is way to expensive for the amount of people who actually file claims.

Thank you for your comments. Crum and Forster Travel Insured, as do most travel insurance companies, base their premium on the traveler's age, trip cost and length of trip. You chose the Worldwide Trip Protector Lite which is one of our most competitively priced plans.
Please keep in mind that insurance is administered by the states' insurance departments. Companies must file their rates including loss history and coverage terms with the state for approval. A state would not approve rates that were not in line with loss history.Nov 06,2018

Well, I didn't use my coverage, so can't give a rating for the claims service. But, I did feel better during my trip knowing I had some amount of coverage....I got the Lite plan.

Generally, Comprehensive policy premiums are based on the age of the traveler, the cost of the trip and the length of the trip. As you get older, your premium will increase. However, in order to calculate premiums on the basis of health, there would have to be some form of medical review prior to purchase which would most likely increase the rates and is not practical for travel insurance since it is usually short term.
