We were fortunate that we didn't have to make a claim on the plan, but knowing that we were covered in case something did go wrong was the insurance we needed to prevent us from worrying about it.

After the initial automatic email response to my claim I waited 3 months. I then sent an email asking what was going on and received a response asking for more information - clearly no-one had looked at my claim until I sent the reminder. Then I heard nothing for another month until I sent another reminder. In total it took four months for me to receive my money - the validity of the claim was never in dispute and the sum was not large so it should never have taken so long.
