We cancelled our trip to Cairo and Istanbul due to unfortunate terrorist attacks in those cities in December. We are quite pleased with the professionalism our claim (for the non-refundable expenses) was handled by Travel Insured. Within a week of us submitting the necessary forms and proof of expenses, we got a call that a check was in the mail. This is the first time we have claimed on travel insurance and this experience has made us a customer with Travel Insured for good.

A true test of trip insurance is if it's actually utilized. This trip was our first to Europe and I wanted to cover my bases. Fortunately nothing happened that required a claim to be filed, so I can't give this (or any plan) a 5-star rating because I didn't need to use it. The peace of mind was worth the cost.

I've used this company several times and made a claim once. Took awhile to settle my claim because I didn't have boarding passes for the airline and didn't realize I needed them. Eventually they covered everything they were suppose to. It was reassuring to know I could cancel for any reason even thought would only get 75% of my money back.

I felt that the cost of the plan was reasonable for the coverage provided, and that the coverage was thorough. We did not have any need to use the plan, yet it was reassuring to have the back-up in place. I appreciated the availability of InsureMyTrip staff to discuss and explain details of the various plans available when making my decision about trip insurance. Staff were very knowledgeable and unbiased, focusing on my needs and what plan would best meet them.
