Update: I would give this company MINUS 5 stars if I could. Horrible service and I never got paid until I filed a claim with the state insurance commission. And then they shortchanged me by $600 and have so far been unable to provide me documentation showing why. Do not use them. Original: I filed a claim that I'd already been told was good and I've been waiting months and months! to hear anything. No one EVER answers their claims phone number. I sent FIVE emails asking what was up, and finally just got a form email back saying they're still processing it. This is completely different from any other trip insurance claim I've ever filed. Very unsatisfactory.

Insure My Trip and the C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector plan were exactly what we needed for peace of mind on this extended and therefore, costly trip to the UK. It covered exactly what we were looking for and gave us peace of mind. We had no need to make a claim this time, but we have made a claim with C& F Travel previously and it went very smoothly. Prior to traveling, when we needed to make a date change and increase the insured amount on this UK trip, the customer service was prompt, efficient and very helpful.

I purchased this plan in November 2019 for the entire cost of my trip. On February 20 I filed a claim on line because no one would ever pick up the phone. I stayed on line for hours. During this time I was very persistent and continued to follow up with trying to get refunds from the carriers and all vendors, was able to receive refunds on my own. However, some companies would not refund any money. I continued to try and contact C&F thru emails and by telephone and one day actually got someone on the phone who claimed to to be a supervisor. Went over everything with her and she required additional documents of which I had previously sent multiple times. I waited months for any answer. I emailed and called this person and it always went to voice mail. I left lots of messages and never received even one response.
I finally reached out to NYS Dept of Finance who licensed this company. Within days of filing a claim with the state the were sending me my settlement.
It took filing a claim t with NYS to get a refund. Too bad that they do not send you a breakdown because they did not send the entire amount. Need to threaten to go back to state until they paid in full.
Will never use this company again.

I had some changes in my plans which cost me money and are not covered by insurance. It would be nice if insurance covered such things. I have to admit that you have some peace of mind when you travel and you have some sort of insurance coverage. There are just too many chances of trip interruptions or cancellations today.

We appreciate your comments. As you are aware, there is no travel insurance plan that will cover every situation. In your particular situation, we advised you that you would not receive reimbursement for a prepaid hotel room if you decide to take an earlier flight and return home early.
