Very hard to rate the insurance plan as we didn't make a claim. We don't know how good it is as we didn't need to use it. I suppose that's a GOOD THING. There was peace of mind knowing we had coverage.

It was a peace of mind policy for me because my parents are 95 and 90 and there could have been a surprise event that would have caused me to end my trip early. I am relieved the 2 weeks away were uneventful at home.

We do offer plans that can provide coverage for a variety of different expenses if your flight is delayed. As you mention, our Travel Delay coverage requires a six hour delay or longer in order to provide reimbursement for certain out-of-pocket expenses you might incur while delayed, such as lodging, meals and local transportation. However, if your flight is delayed due to adverse weather, mechanical breakdown of your aircraft, or an organized labor strike, our Trip Interruption coverage can typically reimburse for additional transportation costs you may incur to return home or rejoin your group in addition to any prepaid non-refundable expenses that you had to forfeit as a result of the delay, regardless of its length. We never discourage our customers from filing claims, even if it appears the plan would be unable to provide coverage for you. We hope you’ll consider updating your review. I recommend travel insurance. This claim was regarding a flight delay resulting in 1 1/2 day of missed tour. CSA at least prorated a benefit. More than my traveling partner received from another insuremytrip supplier.
