I had to canc my trip due to my dog needing 24/7 supervision for a injury. Wasn't aware it would have to be a service dog if this happened. Next time I'll specifically ask. All other ins I bought, through my tour company, covers all reasons for cancellation. I just assumed they were all alike. Won't next time I get it.

We also offer a free look back period with all of our plans to allow customers to cancel their policies within a designated period as long as they haven't already left on their trip or filed a claim. Unfortunately you are correct, the plan you purchased is unable to provide coverage for the sickness of a pet that is not a service animal. This plan seems very expensive compared to what I have used in the past. But what do you do, have to cover your butt.Thankfully I did not have to file a claim.

I was so glad I did not need to use the insurance I purchased! Sure was glad I bought it, tho. As all my family & myself are older now, you never know when you will have to cancel a trip at the last moment. Thanks to Generali!
