i submitted a claim and was asked for all sorts of documentation. finally was assigned a claims adjuster who was not responsive and didn't return calls. after 3 months, finally got in touch with someone who seemed capable and was told my policy didn't cover cancellation. why did it take 3 months to get that information?

I did not need to file a claim, so can't really comment on the process and/or compensation fairness. But I definitely had more peace of mind on our trip than if I'd have if I didn't purchase insurance.
