Submitted a claim for dental extraction due to molar fracture (less than $100), was processed immediately, and received check very fast. During the emergency, we called and spoke to the rep few times, and also via email. Very efficient and extremely helpful. We will definitely buy this insurance again, but the only problem with medical care claim if you have own insurance, you have to claim thru that first. Quite a hassle, so even we have another medical claim (small amount), we decided not to be troubled with submission.

Never used the plan (yay), but it was simple to get, the paperwork was easy to read and understand, and the value was awesome. I paid twice as much for a policy with less coverage two years ago before I knew about insuremytrip.

We had to cancel our trip due to a health problem of one of our group. She had had some depression before we purchased the insurance, but her depression became so sever that she was unable to travel. Therefore the insurance didn't help us since there was a 6 month pre-existing condition. In the future we will purchase one that covers any cause requiring cancelation of the trip.

I called the hotline for assistance in finding a physician in London. The CSR was very helpful, sending me an e-mail of references, and even followed up later with a call to see how it went.

We had some potential issues related to a strike of trains and a cancellation. We contacted the insurance and they were helpful in providing details of what would be needed if we had to file a claim. It provided peace of mind during a stressful time. In the end, we were not effected by the strike.

Although I should have known this a long time ago, I just discovered that my MasterCard provides similar coverage free-of-charge. There's really no reason to purchase this kind of insurance for a trip like the one we did. Talking to your staff several times was extremely instructive, and I'm grateful to you for what I learned. But I'm doubtful I will buy this insurance again.

CSA needs to be more clear whether the plan covers the situation where a terrorist attack ANYWHERE disrupts travel to a scheduled destination. In the case of ocean and river cruises for example, it is very difficult and costly to catch up to a departed ship if direct or connecting flights are cancelled or delayed.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The CSA Travel Protection Custom plan covers Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption due to:
A Terrorist Act which occurs in your Scheduled Trip Departure City or in a city to which you are scheduled to travel while on your Trip, and which occurs within 30 days of your Scheduled Departure Date, provided the city has not experienced a
Terrorist Act in the past 30 days prior to the effective date of your coverage.
As you can see, the terrorist incident must occur in a city listed on your trip itinerary.
CSA Travel Protection defines a Terrorist Act an act of violence, other than civil disorder or riot, (that is not an act of war, declared or undeclared) that results in loss of life or major damage to property, by any person acting on behalf of or in connection with any organization which is generally recognized as having the intent to overthrow or influence the control of any government.
The wording of a covered terrorist event under Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, and the definition of terrorism can vary from plan to plan.
