I found the emergency help process too cumbersome. My husband fell in Amsterdam and we took him to the emergency room at the hospital. When you're bleeding you don't have time to call a number to request a search for a doctor.

I went to more then the Netherlands and I gave my iternary to the agent I spoke to when buying the plan. ( I was on a cruise stopping in multiple ports).Now I am wondering if I had a claim at another stop on my trip if I would have been covered or denied because it did not occur in the Netherlands.. Its hard to rate the plan if I never had to use it.

Questions above really relate to customers who have had to collect on their insurance. We had no problems, fortunately. However, the process of obtaining the insurance was easy and I was able to print out the policy minutes after obtaining the insurance.

This is the first time I have purchased travel insurance. I mainly purchased it because I was concerned that my elderly father might die and I would have to cancel or cut the trip short. The CSA(InsureMyTrip) telephone person said both events were covered.

You never know how good your insurance is until you have a claim.

I would buy this plan for my next big trip.

As there were no problems, aside from stains/scratches on the suitcases, no claim procedures were involved.
The prices for coverage were fair,

My wife fell and fractured a rib on the first day of our trip. I took her to local clinic where the injury was diagnosed. We took cab there and back to the hotel which cost 30 Euros. When we returned to the US, I called the company from which I purchased the trip insurance. They sent me claim form via the internet which required almost our life history to cover every event. Because of the information requirements, it was not worth filing for the reimbursement of our expenses. I think you (the agent from whom we purchased the insurance) should let customers know in advance of the document requirements to support a claim. Needless to say, but I will say it anyway, I will not be dealing with the which provided the insurance again.

Submitted a claim because our baggage was delayed prior to a cruise. A week after I had mailed in a claim, I had a call that I would be getting a check for the entire claim. It did not hurt that I provided good documentation and carefully followed the directions for submitting a claim
