Thank you for your review and feedback. Typically you can and must insure your trip from the time you leave your home to the time you return to your home. If you have multiple destinations all on one trip (not returning home between destinations) you should insure those all on one policy. I visited a friend in a Paris Hospital. Excellent care.
She had gone to an emergency room to be admitted for phlebitis. Her several days of hospital care were essentially free to her as an American, as it would be to a French person. Lesson learned: go to an E.R. instead of a clinic.
