This plan offers comprehensive Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage if you have to cancel or interrupt for one of the listed covered reasons. We bought this plan mainly because they offer emergency and travel assistance. We had problems with our air carrier on the way back. I called the services, explained the problem and got assurances that they would call/email us back to provide help. We have never heard from them again. Years ago, we had been in the same situation and experienced great help from another insurance company. NOT this time. Will never use them again.

I scheduled a trip late so the decision to insure it was relatively last minute. The agent I spoke with was helpful in directing me to the appropriate policy and the price was reasonable. Fortunately I did not need it!

We purchased this plan for our trip to Glacier. American Airlines canceled our connecting flight and this insurance company is not wanting to pay for us not getting to our first night AirBnB. Said that American Airlines said it was due to completion of pilot duties and that is not covered. It would be covered for weather, mechanical or strike, but not this. Who cares why it happened. This was caused by our flight being canceled by the airlines, not us. We ended up having to purchase new airfare and the cost was exorbitant. I figured we would at least get reimbursed for the first night hotel that we missed if not some of the new airfare. I am very upset and will NEVER recommend this plan again.

We also offer a free look back period with all of our plans to allow customers to cancel their policies within a designated period as long as they haven't already left on their trip or filed a claim. The plan you purchased includes a variety of different covered events under which we can provide coverage if your trip is interrupted. The plan is unfortunately unable to provide coverage for every event that might cause an interruption. If there is something specific that you want to be sure is covered, feel free to ask about it before you purchase the policy. We were able to get payment for our trip in the end. It did take work on my end to speak to a manager and sending more information. American Airlines had canceled a connecting flight due to one of the reasons that had been accepted. I do believe any problem that an airline would cancel for should be covered, but it all worked out in the end. I suggest reviewing and comparing all insurances carefully. Thank you.Feb 17,2022
