This plan covered all of the items I felt were important, at a level of coverage I was comfortable with, and at a reasonable cost. The purchase process was not complicated. We had all of the contact information we needed in hand had we needed to use the insurance.

The plan paid as promised for ambulance and hospital expenses in Frankfurt, Germany, and well within 30 days of the submission of claims. My only complaint is that the website really doesn't show claims in process as it purports to do. As a result, I made a phone call and was told that it often takes a week or more for an online claims status. In our case, the medical bills were paid before that happened. All in all, we were very well satisfied.

In comparison with prior years, travel insurance cost increase year to year. In our screens HTH has turn up the most affordable travel insurance provider for our trips this and last years. Whether already covered by standard health insurance, it is desirable to purchase travel insurance that is tailored for securing medical and emergency services in the foreign location, and with a recognized agent. This plan is a la carte to balance premium, feature options, and coverages.
Our good fortune was our trip did not require exercising insurance needs or claims. It is not possible to critique the service response of benefits.

Fortunately I did not have to file a claim but I felt much better knowing that the coverage was there. I took my cards and policy with me on the trip.
