The Voyager Choice is a single-trip Medical plan which offers emergency medical coverage while you are traveling abroad. This plan does require you to have primary health insurance in place, but there is no exclusion for pre-existing conditions. With this plan, you have the ability to select the medical limit and also the deductible amount that you are most comfortable with.

You never know what could happen and these plans are just that, what could happen. Even if nothing happens, you get a peace of mind and can enjoy the holiday without worries.
I would recommend this plan and others depending on what you need.
I chose a plan that met most of our needs and will do so in the future when we travel.

The biggest reason why we purchased this plan, is because of direct insurance billing by foreign hospital - not by subscribers.

Imagine an emergency in a foreign country & having to pay upfront large medical bills & getting reimbursed later - not cool...

Unfortunately (or more accurately, fortunately) we did not need to use any of the benefits of the plan. Knowing we had it however and its coverage made the trip more stress free.

I had no claims. It was easy to purchase. I liked the app because it helps file claims if needed, get prepayment authorization and find providers. It also sends notices of places to avoid because of unrest.

I purchased a week long policy, contract only showed coverage for 1 day. Called to extend and was advised it was updated. Checked the website - still coverage for just 1 day. Called back to extend AGAIN and was told it was extended, but guess what - it wasn't. Demanded a refund then told there was an issue with my credit card. (there was not) Called back to advise and was then told I had to submit my request to cancel in writing. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Still no credit or extension.
