It took 3 months to get reimbursed. Trip mate personnel are incompetent......they requested further medical info from the VA doctor in Florida. Instead of finding out the correct fax from the MD in Florida, they were faxing requests to the inspector general of the VA in Washington DC! If I had not kept calling Trip Mate over and over, I probably would still be waiting. I will never buy this insurance again!

Since I did not fortunately need to file a claim u did not test the company, but I was happy with the coverage I purchased.

Read the fine print- my lost iphone was not covered. When they say that accomodations are covered for travel delay, it only means $100. I got the last available room at Dallas Fort Worth Airport- admittedly it was the Hyatt- they only covered $100 of the $338 cost. So no food, no other related expenses. I didn't even try to claim baggage delay expenses because it was all so tiresome.
The website is not very easy to follow for claims. They kept snail mailing me the forms I had filled out incorrectly, but never let me know what needed to be changed.Then they sent everything back by snail mail for signatures. What is the point of filing on line, if everything still has to go by mail? The weather delay occurred in January, and I am only closing the claim today in March. I will not use Tripmate again.I've had better experience with other travel insurance such as Allianz.
