The only thing is that if there was a more clear way of communicating to your customers which phone # to call if there's a problem and there needs to be a claimed filed while in the foreign country. There are several phone numbers listed and it's not very intuitive to easily figure out which ones do what.
It's partly a graphic design issues, too, in communicating the information more fluidly.

As with most reviewers, I did not need to file a claim, so I don't know how much hassle it would have been in practice or if I would have recovered as much as I thought I would. However, given the abysmal state of medical care in Laos, where I was traveling, I wanted to make sure I could be evacuated to Thailand for care, if I needed it. I also had a very elderly relative whose health could easily have caused me to have to cancel or abridge my very costly trip. I feel as if I did the best I could to insure against those possibilities, and I found InsureMyTrip.com to be very easy to deal with on the phone. I had to increase the amount of my coverage as I finished travel purchases, and agents on the phone were helpful in making sure I did not buy more coverage than I needed. I will likely use this service again if I travel under similar circumstances.

I have purchased this plan twice for two different trips. On the first trip, I got very ill and ended up making a claim for a doctor visit. It was paid right away with no trouble. So I bought the same plan again for a trip to Asia, having had a good experience the first time.
On the second trip, we had to make alternate plans on the fly (while abroad, mid-trip) after extreme flooding made one of our original destinations unsafe. We did not get prompt or useful advice in advance from the insurer regarding what they would cover, so we changed our plans in the most economical way we could manage, while still salvaging that part of the trip. After we submitted our claims, the insurer rejected our claims entirely, denying coverage under provisions that were not applicable to our claims and failing to address the provisions that were applicable. I called and spoke to them; they persisted in denying our claims. I sent them a letter explaining what provisions we were claiming under; they sent a letter back denying our claims without addressing my explanations or the applicable policy provisions. They then refused to reconsider when I submitted an appeal. I then filed a claim with my State agency regarding the insurer's handling of my claim. Lo and behold, our claims were immediately paid.
I guess the moral of this story is to hope that nothing goes wrong when you buy trip insurance, but if you buy this plan and something does go wrong, you better hope it's something straight-forward like needing a doctor's visit, and not that you have to re-route your trip due to a natural disaster. This company did not care to read and apply its policy provisions when processing our claims, nor did they give an intelligible or coherent response to our correspondence regarding our claims. They only paid our claims after the state oversight agency began an investigation into my complaint. Poor form indeed.
