The Global Alert Preferred plan offers comprehensive Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage if you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due an unforeseen covered event.
We never travel anymore without buying a plan. In all the years of traveling, we only had to use the insurance once and it was worth it. I wouldn't leave home without an insurance plan. I tell ALL my friends that but some people are very short sighted.

Due to security concerns in the Middle East, we changed our trip from Israel to Peru. InsureMyTrip made the changes to our plan. The process was fairly painless and our overpayment was promptly refunded.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. Typically, policies can be amended after purchasing coverage, provided you contact us prior to the original departure date. If you need to make a change, please call our customer care department with your order number and let the representative know what you need to adjust in your policy. The representative will update your policy to see if these changes will affect your premium. To execute a change, you will be required to send us an email confirmation requesting the changes, giving permission to charge the additional premium, stating you did not incur any cancellation penalties, and will not file a claim against the original policy.
Very dissatisfied with the customerservice of the plan and how they were handling my case. They asked in addition to the claim package to sign additional forms, then they started to send letters asking for more redundant information. Getting in-line to talk to representative on the phone takes 10 mi, there is no shortcut if you call second time. They called my travel agent 3 times. I needed to call insurance agency at least 6 times. I filed a claim 3 months ago and I still didn't get my money, although I provided legitimate medical information. I will not recommend this plan to anyone.
