Not sure if I'd recommend. That is because I had no claim. I also noticed this was secondary coverage when I clearly asked the InsureMyTrip telephone sales operator for primary coverage. Well, it was cheaper as secondary I guess. Just happy I had no claim.

I had to see the ships doctor on our cruise. This incurred s $268.00 fee. After submitting claim to my Medicare supplement and receiving a denial of payment (cost was applied to my travel deductible) I submitted all my documentation on line. It took about 6 weeks to receive my full cost of care. The website was excellent to follow the processing of my claim.

Global Alert did almost nothing on my claim until someone from Insuremytrip called them. They sent payment soon afterward. The claim was fairly settled but they dragged their feet until prodded.

I cannot answer the questions because I didn't use the plan. Coverage seems fine, but it looked very difficult to contact anyone to get help if needed. Would I recommend it? Don't know. Suggest survey result be shown for people who used the plan...or tried to use it. Answers I provided were required to be able to submit these comments.
