I injured my foot from a slight fall in Budapest and had my son contact the travel assistance company. They were excellent, and immediately contacted me and had me go to the emergency room. Thankfully, my injury was diagnosed as not severe and I followed the doctors orders. Slowly my injury recovered and there was no need for further treatment. Global Alert sent me forms right away so I would be prepared when I got to the hospital. I would definitely use them again and refer them to others.

I have used Global Alert for a variety of trips over the past ten years. Importantly, I have put in two trip cancellation claims, and both have been paid promptly and with absolutely no hassle. I will definitely continue to use them.

While I thought the process for reviewing a claim was cumbersome and time consuming, I was very happily surprised with the outcome (my claim had to do with a trip interruption due to the death of my father.)

Our trip went off as planned and we didn't need to use the insurance. I did like the emails with reminders and planning advice as our travel date got closer and felt that the company was engaged with me, the customer. Other trips have not gone as well and I always recommend travel insurance, because you never know.

I purchased the coverage many months before our trip, just in case. Happily, we didn't need to file a claim before, during, or after so I can't speak to that aspect, but it gave me peace of mind to have the insurance.

I liked that I could talk to a representative immediately, no menu to go through. Also price was right although I had no claim so cannot evaluate that process. I was completely satisfied.

Fortunately it was not necessary to make a claim so I cannot comment on whether the plan would have adequately covered any contingencies; however, I did think the plan would have covered those items I considered important. I was also please with the cost compared to other policies so I would be likely to purchase this policy in the future.
