Many plans will not cover people over 80 as a first provider should an accident happen and the person is overseas and wants to be taken back to the States. They insist on Medicare being a first provider even though Medicare will not cover people outside the US. For Medicare to be contacted and refuse, is a significant delay to the person injured. Global Alert provides first provider and eliminates this problem.

The feature that sold me on the Global Alert! Preferred plan was the cancelation policy. Not many insurance companies offer this comprehensive of a cancelation policy and due to my obligations I need to be able to cancel at the last minute. Most on the other parts of the plan, trip interruption, lost luggage and so forth are comparable to other plans.

I don't think it is fair to evaluate an insurance plan

I did my due diligence in researching and selecting trip insurance. No plan is perfect and there is always room for more flexibility. And one can always argue that the price should be less. However, after considering several options, I believe that your company provided excellent comparison data that enabled us to obtain the best coverage value.
