The Global Alert Preferred plan offers comprehensive Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage if you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due an unforeseen covered event.
We ended up not needing to use the insurance. Our experience was excellent. Using the online chat, a representative took his time explaining the different definitions and triggering events of different policies. Helped me feel confident I was getting the one that covered the events I was concerned about. Will use them again on my next trip.

It was very nice to have the piece of mind having the insurance in the event it was needed. We were glad not to have needed to use it. My Son was with a group of boy scouts and they all purchased the insurance for piece of mind. Thanks to the wonderful staff that helped me with all of the policies we needed.

I thought an insurance plan was to protect against unplanned situations. If I had been sick before the trip the whole trip would have been covered. I got sick while on the trip the night before I had booked a rental of a motorcycle and could not go. Keep in mind you need to be physically fit to ride a bike. They (motorcycle rental company) did not refund my money so obviously I thought that this would be covered by the insurance I purchased. It wasn't, so I am disappointed on the coverage of this policy. Too many restrictions and gimmicks in my opinion.

For a measly $60 doctor's charge incurred during our cruise, for reimbursement, Global Alert now requires us to go to our primary insurance (Medicare) first, then to our secondary insurance (UHC). With all this time and effort about to be expended for a lousy $60 bill, we will NEVER use Global Alert again, and we will so advise all our friends.

As forest fires were breaking out in the general area we were headed just days before our trip, and as one of our travel mate's work schedule threatened a cancellation of our trip altogether, we had complete ease of mind knowing we had options thanks to the Global Alert Preferred coverage we purchased through you.

I compared several to get exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. I cannot comment on using the actual insurance plan,since I did not have to use the service.
