I wound up in the hospital for 7 weeks. I had to use the plan to cancel my planned trip. No problems. I was glad to have coverage. It was a very expensive plan to buy; but unexpectedly useful!

It was great having the reassurance of an insurance policy. With 4 children and my parents in their 80's you just don't know when something could happen or come up!

I injured my foot from a slight fall in Budapest and had my son contact the travel assistance company. They were excellent, and immediately contacted me and had me go to the emergency room. Thankfully, my injury was diagnosed as not severe and I followed the doctors orders. Slowly my injury recovered and there was no need for further treatment. Global Alert sent me forms right away so I would be prepared when I got to the hospital. I would definitely use them again and refer them to others.

I was reimbursed for all expenses as per the agreement and I am satisfied that they acted in good faith. Were it not for the inordinate delay - they themselves admitted it took too long - I would have given them 5 stars.

I was in touch with the travel assistance team in regards to an issue. They first tried. Then were supposed to call back which was not done in a timely way. In the end they were no help at all and I wound up spending a lot of money on my international phone bill.

You may not need to file a claim, but this plan provides excellent coverage at a reasonable price. Make sure you do your homework on where the best medical facilities are for any condition you have before you go.

We had lost bags. Global Alert worked diligently to locate our bags and help get them released. We had been trying to no avail to locate the bags. We'd been getting the run-around from the airlines and airport. We believe that the reason we got the bags back was because of the work Global Alert did for us!
