I erred in calculating the cost of my trip and should have only included the prepaid amounts that were nonrefundable rather than the entire cost of the trip. Perhaps this would have decreased the cost. Since I have preexisting conditions, it was hard to calculate my costs when I had first made flight reservations and had to purchase the insurance. Do your policies allow for adjustments in the trip costs after initial purchase due to preexisting conditions?

If you have made an error in calculating the cost of your trip, as long as you make the adjustments within the review period, any excess premium you have paid can be refunded. Simply call us at 1-800-487-4722 and one of our agents can assist you.Sep 19,2011

I just was surprised no policy or further communication came from Global Alert. I had to go back on my computer and print my coverage. When I showed it to the tour director, she said that was not valid, and where was the official confirmation of coverage?? Thank goodness I had no claim, but what would happen if I did?

After purchase is complete, emails are sent out confirming your coverage. The confirmation of coverages from InsureMyTrip is @ 5-7 pages in length. In the future, that is what can be printed out for proof of coverage. In this case, the insured did in fact have coverage.Jul 19,2011
