Trip as a couple to Dominican Republic. Specifically picked the Global Alert! Preferred Plus plan since it had Cancel For Any Reason benefit at 90% the cost of the trip since my girl's family life can make getting away very difficult. I had to file a claim using this benefit. I documented everything (receipts, confirmation notices, Jetblue Getaways cancellation email) as PDF and printed it all out and postal mailed it to the claims dept. I was able to check the claim progress online, until I noticed it stalled. I called every couple days to check the status. It was approved and I received the check for 90% the cost within 30 days of cancelling. I would go with Global Alert again.

I should have not gotten this expensive plan. The representatives you had were very thorough in explaining everything, but it was my fault to have gotten this expensive plan. would not get that one again.

I had to utilize the cancel for any reason portion of the policy. From start to finish I had my check in about a month. I was only sent one additional form to complete. The process was very painless. I'd definitely use this coverage again.

You buy all sorts of insurance with the hope you won't need to use it. We didn't. The website and the telephone representative were helpful and efficient.

We had to use the cancel for any reason benefit on our plan. I am very pleased in the way our claim was handled, and with the payment they made to us. We had absolutely no hassles and everyone we talked to on the phone was very helpful.
The most important thing you should do is read what is required to file a claim as soon as you make purchase (or before). They will require clear documentation of everything, which is fair and to be expected, but I'm guessing you'd be out of luck if you didn't have copies of everything.
