The good news is that Global Alert paid the trip cancellation benefit, as they were supposed to do. The bad news was that it took 77 days from the day they received my claim to the day I received the check. I had to call them 7 times to try to keep moving things along. Each time they would promise to do something by a certain date, and then would fail to do it. I finally called InsureMyTrip and got a Claims Advocate to intervene. The Claims Advocate was so helpful and so responsive. With his help, things finally got done.
