The Global Silver plan is the most economical of the three international plans offered by InsureandGo while providing primary emergency medical coverage for trips outside of the U.S.
This is the second time I purchased travel insurance with this company. The first time I had to cancel the trip due to illness and was pleased to get my money returned. The second time I did not have to cancel, but was relieved to have the peace of mind the policy provided.
I recommend Insure My Trip.

The price seemed reasonable. Fortunately, we did not need to use the insurance, therefore our rating on satisfaction is not necessarily valid: there was no test of its coverage.
The service representative who helped me choose a plan (over the phone) was very easy to work with, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you.

We purchased the policy primarily for medical coverage while overseas.
Unfortunately my wife and I both got sick before our trip, and had to cancel. We filed a claim with InsureandGo. They acknowledged receipt of the requested claim forms and backup (21 pages). About a month later I called the claims representative to ask the status of the claim. She told me they were waiting for my claim forms! When I read her the acknowledgement she blamed another department for not "downloading" the information. A week later I received the check. What I did not receive was an apology for her fumbling the original claim information. While I received the insurance proceeds, it was definitely not in a timely manner. It was a frustrating wait to get the refund we were entitled to.

I was very glad to have bought this coverage as I was very sick in Jordan, and wondering if I'd be going to a hospital instead of the airport! I didn't need the policy in the end, but was very glad I had it. I appreciate how InsureMyTrip emailed me shortly before the trip to remind me to print the policy number and provider contact information. Otherwise, that detail might have been overlooked in the rush to pack. Thank you!
