We were scheduled to leave on a Saturday, and Wednesday night I went to the ER and was admitted to the hospital. The claims people and forms were clear in describing what documentation they needed to process the claim. Be sure to save all of your proofs a payment, not just the "paid" invoices and tickets from the suppliers. You'll need everything for your claim, including the proof of refunds when they are applicable.

Fortunately, we have never needed to file a claim, but we feel secure with this coverage and the company. And InsureMyTrip is the best site to purchase travel insurance with as well!

We purchased the insurance because my 93 year old father has been ill and we were afraid we may need to cancel at the last minute.
However, while on the trip hurricane Karen threatened New Orleans and delayed our return to port a day. This meant return travel plans needed to be rescheduled. While the delays did not result in additional costs for us, It was reassuring to know that extra expenses would be covered should we need to file a claim.

I'm not sure any review is appropriate unless I had to file a claim to see how the company responds. I did, however, feel confident with the plan and it did give me some peace of mind. I don't typically insure my trips in general but several expert cruise sites highly recommend insurance for people who take cruises.
