TravCan from InsureAssist is an economy comprehensive trip cost protection plan which covers you in the event that you have to cancel or interrupt your trip for a covered reason. As well as including trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage, the plan also includes baggage, travel delay, medical, emergency medical evacuation and accidental death and dismemberment coverages.

We did not have to file any claims, so we really cannot say how good or bad the InsureAssist TravCan coverage would have been, nor how easy it would have been to file a claim. Probably we will not personally endorse TravCan because of this, as we just don't know the quality of the product and level of customer care. However, we would go with this company again, though, as we assume all would have been handled satisfactorily.

Insurance is something we buy to protect ourselves from things that go wrong. In my case nothing went wrong. I have used InsureMyTrip many times and have been pleased by the price and coverage. Fortunately, I have not had any claims or problems on my trips.

This company offers a comprehensive policy at a very competitive rate. I filed a claim when I became ill two days before our cruise and one day before our flight. The claims department staff was very helpful and pleasant to talk with. I supplied all of the required claim documents. The claim was settled and a check issued for the full amount only 6 days after it was logged into their system! It was very smooth settling this claim. I would highly recommend this insurance company; I am 100% satisfied.

In general, increasing the covered trip cost and/or extending the travel dates will result in additional premium. In looking at reviews and options for travel insurance, I found many positives with insuremytrip. And the cost was lower than the plan offered by the Cruise company. Did not have to file a claim but was satisfied with the options and cost.

I initially purchased the plan just for peace of mind. However, it turned out to be a big help. After a few email conversations, a couple of phone calls, and submitting the claim documentation, CBPInsure promptly and fairly processed my claim in about two weeks.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. InsureMytrip offers annual, Multi-Trip Travel Medical plans, which provide benefits for emergency medical care and evacuation to an appropriate treatment facility on each of your trips. We also have Multi-Trip Evacuation Only plans, which will allow travelers to receive coverage for emergency medical transportation. Unfortunately, Comprehensive policies (trip cancellation) are not available on an annual or multi-trip basic.Feb 20,2015
