If you are concerned about any pre-existing medical conditions that might affect your travel, this plan will waive the pre-existing conditions exclusion if purchased within 21 days of the initial trip payment and if the full cost of the trip is insured.

Happily, did not have to make a claim, so I do not truly know how "good" the plan is. The price for the coverage was less than others I have seen. The representative was knowledgeable and friendly, and the online application process was easy.

The assistant who helped me select the appropriate plan was very helpful. He explained the terms of the plan and made my selection easier. He listened to my needs and made excellent suggestions. This is a great service, since there are many plans to choose from. I would use insuremytrip.com again for my travel insurance needs.

After comparing multiple plans, I found this to be the best one for me given the price and coverage. I did not purchase it for the medical coverage and was mostly concerned with trip interruptions/delays. I am so glad that it had medical coverage because I ended up injuring my ankle while abroad, which required a hospital visit, x-ray, medication and an orthotic, all of which was reimbursed to me upon my return.
I filed my claim the day after I returned (on a Friday afternoon) and received my reimbursement check from Nationwide 7 business days later (on a Tuesday). The process was simple, fair and efficient and I was reimbursed for all of my medical expenses. I will definitely purchase this plan again in the future and highly recommend it.

My review is of limited value because I am not sure how the IATCP plan would have performed if I had a claim. Fortunately, our trip was without incident, and we had a great time. I always wonder whether the insurance I purchase will actually cover my wife and I if either of us had a serious medical problem. Hopefully, we will never have to find out. If we had a problem and IATCP honored our claims, I would upgrade the rating to 5 stars.

I did not have to file a claim, but I enjoyed my travels more knowing that I was covered if anything happened. I recommend that everyone get travel insurance when leaving home. I will use this company again.
