I rate this travel insurance high. Fortunately, I did not need to file a claim, however, working with the personnel gave me confidence. I did not get reimbursed for a legitimate claim from another insurance company, and the personnel from your agency even made efforts to rectify this.

Our trip in March 2020 was interrupted due to water service being suspended in Cairo due to overwhelming rains. We were told that we were not covered for this since we were already on our trip. A few months ago we were contacted by IMG and told we could file a claim. We were lucky that we had kept all of our emails and receipts from our travel company and airlines. After many emails sending materials requested by IMG they reviewed our trip and we thought we received a very fair settlement for the portion of our trip missed. Knowing the process now, we will look at IMG for our next trip.

Thank you for your review. Travel insurance is reimbursement based and this policy is one of reimbursement. There are times when insurance providers can advance payment, based on the situation. During the trip you can always contact the insurance providers 24 Hour Emergency Assistance Center. At that time they can medically monitor you and if medical costs were high they may have been able to give the hospital details to forward any bills. After confirming the claim was deemed covered the final decision to pay would be made. I did not have any claims so I have no opinion on that aspect. The only time you find out how good your insurance is, is when you have a claim.
