Did not have to use, but nice knowing I didn't have to worry. I wasn't happy that I had booked a tour for Sydney back in August but I forgot to add it to my insurance and it was going to cost me $200. to add just before I left. Thankfully I didnt have to cancel and it was only $190.00 tour. Might think twice about that next time I have to have Travel Insurance. And I had proof that I had book when I purchased my insurance. When you have a booking way in advance it is hard to think of everything. I think you should be more lenient in that respect.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to our request. We certainly agree that it is difficult to recall every item if you book way in advance. However, in that event, you may add additional trip expenses after you purchase a policy. We suggest that you call us within 10-21 days (policy specific) of adding the additional expenses so we can re-quote your policy and add the trip cost onto your existing policy.Jan 28,2020

We learned a lesson 7 years ago in Australia-always get primary medical if you are on Medicare. InsureMyTrip has always been soooo help in recommending the policy with the coverage we need.

I did not have to use any policy benefits so can’t speak to the coverage. It DID give me peace of mind, believing that if I got into a medical crisis I would have funding for medical care.

Fortunately we didn't need to file a claim but were at ease because of the coverage we purchased. We purchase coverage mostly for the medical coverage when we travel internationally.
