Very professional website, phone app was well designed and easy to browse. Although I never had to use it, all the possibilities were included, and I had no doubt it would have been helpful.

My insurance claim was denied because my I moved to a city which was under 250 miles. I thought that clause itself was ridiculous. I mean how can one even expect me to travel 250 miles for a flight. This is the reason I hate insurance. They constantly have these ridiculous hidden clauses. The primary reason I bought this insurance was it was under category 'Cancel for any reason' . And I was denied a claim for cancellation despite having a god enough reason.

    We understand that it is never pleasant to receive a denial for reimbursement under the Trip Cancellation coverage. However, your reason to cancel your trip must be specifically stated as a covered reason in the policy. Since your iTravelInsured LX plan specifically stated that you would be reimbursed under Trip Cancellation for "...a permanent transfer of employment of 250 miles or more...", your claim was denied after you indicated that your relocation was less than 250 miles of your original employment. Please keep in mind that you would have able to review the list of covered reasons in your plan prior to your purchase by simply clicking on the dollar amount of Trip Cancellation within your quote.

    With respect to your policy, the Cancel for Any Reason coverage, a time-sensitive coverage, was only available to you if you purchased your policy within 20 days of your Initial Trip Payment. Since you purchased this policy on 6/13/2016 and your Initial Trip Payment was made on 5/16/2016, unfortunately you were not eligible for that coverage.

I purchased full coverage early enough to qualify for a Pre-existing Condition waiver, plus Cancel for any Reason. Unfortunately I could not travel as a medical condition came up just prior to travel. I notified the insurance company via email prior to the trip asking for guidance. I got a canned response with claim forms. I filled them out and even submitted a signed doctors note stating I could not travel. They say not to call for a while. A month goes by, I call to see that everything is in order. They say it will be resolved the next week and I should receive a check. I receive nothing. I call again. They are requesting documents that do not exist. You cannot produce them. My claim will not be fulfilled. I had to file a complaint the State Department of Insurance and the BBB. All this trouble over ~ $365. Avoid this company and policy if you just possibly might need to file a claim.
