I have been purchasing travel insurance from insure my trip for a number of years. Thankfully I have never had to submit a claim. I am hopeful that if I ever have to file a claim it will be taken care of in both a timely and efficient manner.

We had to cancel our trip due to an unexpected work requirement for my husband. We promptly filed a claim and have been given the run around for over a month now. I have provided massive amounts of the requested documentation requested and they refuse to process our claim saying they need more information that I have already provided. There is no way to speak to a claims representative handling your specific claim an all correspondences have to take place through email. My emails are not answered and then I get more automatically generated emails requesting the same information that has already been provided. This policy was a complete waste of money and I will never purchase travel insurance from them again.

This was the first travel delay claim I have had to make, and the process was a bit frustrating online. It took two attempts, but my claim(s) were processed in what I felt was a fair amount of time, 30 days, and given the incredible melt down of the airlines during Christmas 2022, I felt this was acceptable.
I will recommend IMG to friends, and have used them again since my claim.

Suggestion for improving communications and exceeding customer expectation:
- Send email to your customer(s) re confirmed insurance policy, protocols including contract ID and contact phone number for reference it will go a long way in improving loyalty and trust.

My vacation was unique and I did not see coverage for it on the list of plans. I was trying to get coverage for a week long sailing trip (not a cruise). So I called to get a quote and the rep I talked to was very helpful. I got the coverage I needed. Fortunately, I did not need to use it.
