I have been a customer of Insure My Trip for several years and purchased this plan on their recommendation.
We had to file a claim and these folks are extremely unprofessional.Eventually, they paid the claim in full but I would not recommend John Hancock Company company to anyone.
I fault John Hancock and not Insure My Trip who I will continue to do business with in the future.

I caught the flu on a cruise ship vacation. I had to visit the doctor and get a prescription. My private insurance rejected it because I had not reached my deductible. I submitted it to John Hancock. I bought the silver plan. My claim was reviewed and paid. The communication with the company was positive and prompt. I will definitely use them on my next trip.

It was honestly very comforting after the trauma of left luggage and having to pay to get it to me that John Hancock people processed my claim very quickly and I now have the check in the bank. Thank you.

Thankfully we didn’t have to use this, but it was the peace of mind that we needed especially with all of the variables going on in our trip plan. The agency that handled this claim, Seven Corners, was extremely slow in processing. After I filed the claim online, there was no communication from them until I initiated it. Would not purchase a John Hancock travel policy again, there are too many other better choices.

The real value of an insurance policy is demonstrated in the provider's handling of a claim. Since I had no claim, I have no information on that key bit of information. Hancock's plan appeared to me to offer more features than many at a competitive cost.
