I truly believe the best insurance is the insurance you don't have to use, and thankfully we did not! Due to some circumstances beyond our control, we had to change our plan twice after our initial purchase. Changing the plan was VERY easy to do, and the John Hancock team was very professional and efficient. Job well done!

My child went on a class trip and they required us to buy trip insurance. The travel site's cost was $150 while the plan I purchased here was $35.00. We never had to file a claim so I cannot attest to the actual benefit if you actually need to use the insurance.

Had to spend two days in hospital during trip to South Africa and then have emergency care in Cape Town. Filed all receipts with John Hancock upon my return. Received check for total reimbursement in two weeks. Communication was excellent and was very pleased with company's handling of my requests. Will use them in the future.

I had to change my flight before the trip. It took long time and many emails and phone calls to change the trip date. At the end of frustrating days, they changed to the new dates. I bought this insurance indirectly, so the communication became confused. I am satisfied at the end of trip to have these coverage although I didn't have to use it. The insurance is safety net, hopefully these troubles they cover never happened.

Yes, I was mostly satisfied with this insurance plan. Since I did not file any claim for reimbursement, I cannot comment on the claims process. Coverage offered by this plan appeared to be excellent in several areas. I would purchase this plan or similar one again for future travels.
