My wife and I were fortunate to not need to test the coverage of this insurance travel plan.
But it was comforting to know that during our trip to Peru and Ecuador there was a reputable insurance company ready to assist us.

Had a claim and they eventually paid but the process took 4 months and lots of phone calls. Not sure it was worth it considering the time on my part to get paid.

It's difficult to rate an insurance plan if you did not need to file a claim. I am thankful for that. I assume that this policy would have been adequate, had I needed to file a claim and that everything would have been handled appropriately.

We did not use the insurance but it was good to have the coverage. This was a long and expensive trip, which was booked many months ago. It was nice to have a back up plan.

Well, I assume my reviews of plans will be good to great, until I have to go through a claim experience... that will be the real test! Hopefully even after a claim experience I will be able to give the same ratings!! However, I am thrilled to give a good review for a plan not needed! Hope to stay healthy and travel more and “not use” the plans I purchase!

I thought we might have to cancel our trip and when I called to discuss this, your rep was almost hostile by the thought that I might file a claim. Would not help me with details of coverage and would only email me claim form

Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing customercare@insuremytrip.com, explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.

I purchased this policy for international travel. I purchased a piece of personal property for almost $200 in London, which was stolen a few days later on pubic transportation. I emailed the claims company promptly but did not submit a claim until I returned. When I returned to the US about 6 weeks later, I submitted a claim with proof of purchase and proof of travel where it was stolen, and the full amount was paid to me with absolutely no hassle. Excellent service.

I received compensation in 2 checks. Each was accompanied with a notation that a letter of explanation would follow. These letters should have accompanied the checks. I had to request the first letter, which arrived a month after the first check. Have not yet received the second one.

This was my first experience purchasing trip insurance and they made it a breeze. I had to call and speak with a representative who thoroughly explained everything to me. She then emailed me my options so that I could do further research. I was able to purchase a plan that worked best for me. I did end up filing a claim with John Hancock Insurance, and they walked me through everything step by step. It took a bit to get the claim resolved, but it was not outside of the time frame they had given me. I highly recommend this company!
