This is the first time we have ever purchased trip cancellation insurance, and we're so glad we did. We had to cancel our entire trip two days before departure because of an unexpected medical issue. Customer service was very helpful. We appreciated being able to submit the claim forms as a PDF by email. We received a check for full reimbursement about 15 business days after claim submission, with no hassle. Fully satisfied.

You will be very pleased to hear that the John Hancock claims department issued and mailed your check on April 14, 2017, so you should soon be receiving payment. Most insurance companies request that claimants allow up to 30 days after they receive your paperwork to review and process a claim. We had to file a claim for the first time ever because one of us got sick on the trip. They handled it quickly and with no hassle. The claim form itself was detailed, but also easy to complete. While trip insurance seems somewhat expensive to me, it's a lot more expensive not to have it!

I bought "Cancel for Any Reason" which should be a no brainer for them! Nada-nothing-just stalling and delays.22 days out.
