Take Me Home - Single-Trip
My husband suffered a heart attack in Puerto Vallarta and it was recommended that he have a triple bypass as soon as possible. Medex could not have been more helpful and professional; we were flown home to the Mayo Clinic by air ambulance by an amazing group of health care professionals. HIGHLY recommended - thank you!

When I requested the plan, I asked that the documents be mailed to me. When I received them by email, I called and asked again that they be mailed because my printer is not working. They arrived a full week later, the day before my cruise and after I had already flown to my departure city, so I had no proof of insurance with me.

When the group of friends planned this trip and I mentioned that I should get trip insurance, I was told it would probably cost $200 or more....it did not! It did not even cost $100 to get the coverage I wanted. I wanted medical, trip interruption, lost luggage insurance among other things.
I have been insured with InsureMyTrip before for an international trip and there was a claim filed; it was handled very fast, no problems! I highly recommend InsureMyTrip!

The MEDEX TravMed Choice Outbound plan is considered a Single-Trip Medical plan. Medical plans also include coverage for medical evacuation, accidental death, lost baggage, and trip interruption. Your friends were likely anticipating that you would purchase a comprehensive policy to cover trip cancellation. Comprehensive policies are more expensive than medical plans because they are designed to protect the cost of your trip, and offer a larger variety of travel benefits.Jan 31,2015

Thankfully, we did not require this insurance on our 8 day out-of-country trip, but we felt confident that it was there if we needed it! I applied online prior to our trip, and it was very easy and thorough. We will use your company again when we decide to go on another trip. We felt the cost was reasonable for the coverage we required. Thank you!
