When we took a trip to Japan 4, or 5 years ago, we purchased the same plan. Cost went up but it is natural. Thing is your insurance gave us peace of mind. We are going to buy your insurance when we plan next trip.

We had to cancel out trip because my mother-in-law got sick and my wife had to take care of her. We received a full refund from M.H. Ross Advantage within a month. Of course it required some paperwork to be done, but it was pretty reasonable.

Many thanks. I am glad that I had coverage. All who climb in the Himalayas should have coverage. If you have coverage the Himalayan Rescue will transport you, if not, you may be lucky to get a horse and guide to get you out. While in the Himalayas, I saw many helicopters and met a good deal of people who were very ill. Best wishes to the MH Ross Team.

I really appreciate the peace of mind that purchasing this plan gave me. About two weeks before the trip my cabinmate came down ill and had to be hospitalized. I started to panic, but then re-read my policy. Thankfully, if worse came to worse, my trip was covered. Even better though, my friend recovered and was able to travel in time. Worth the peace of mind!

Would like to have the ability to cancel within 24 hours under the cancel for any reason policy. Under the current policy you must cancel within 48 hours.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. All of the Cancel For Any Reason polices on our website, require the travelers to cancel their travel arrangements at least 2 days or 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure.Nov 24,2014

This policy was less than half the price of what the travel agent offered. I decided to change my policy and called a customer care representative, and cancelled one and bought another. I trusted that I would be refunded but was not guaranteed. I was promptly refunded for the policy I cancelled. They were very nice. I added my Goddaughter onto my policy, who traveled with me. Because she is so young, instead of it costing more to add an additional person, it dropped the price. This is an excellent company to work with, with excellent service and followup. I was given contact information for numerous situations should I have needed to use the insurance.

With insurance it is all about how claims are handled. Thankfully, I did not file a claim so, as others have noted, it is not possible to rate the company on its most important criteria.

The certification and approval for Emergency Evacuation must be coordinated through the most direct and economical conveyance and route possible, such as air or land ambulance, or commercial airline carrier.
