In business since 1926, Nationwide focuses on providing the best possible service for its customers. Nationwide travel insurance plans offer a range of innovative benefits for a variety of travel needs.
The coverage for excursions and missed ports were the factors to swing the selection of coverage to choice cruise plan. We had no problems, therefore, no feedback on claim processing.

Had wallet stolen while on trip; there is basically no coverage...Also if you do submit claim they require original receipts for any claimed item.
While we could not use any coverage (due to excluding any coverage for the lost wallet) it may be difficult to provide original receipts for a replacement i.e. suitcase and clothes...it would appear this could be used to deny any coverage if a loss is incurred.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry to learn of the unfortunate event that occurred during your trip.
Travel insurance plans are "named peril" policies which means only those perils/hazards that are specifically listed in the policy are covered. In addition, all plans have their "exclusions and limitations" which may affect your coverage. Although you can review the policy terms and conditions prior to purchase by clicking on "View Certificate", this can be a long and frustrating process given the number of offered plans, so we encourage you to call customer care at InsureMyTrip 800-487-4722 for assistance.
Great value for a great plan! Easy process to compare and purchase a plan. We were pleased that we did not have to make a claim. The best reviews of these plans is listening to people who actually had to make a claim.

In July 2016, we purchased a policy for our bicycling trip to Sicily, Italy. The price for our 12 day tour was $3800 per person. The cost for the insurance was $400.56 (very reasonable). In January 2017 we purchased airfare and added a second tour in Italy. The cost was now $7214 per person and 24 days in length. The cost of the insurance policy now was $1790.10. To add 12 days to the trip (double the original trip) and $3414 more per person (less than the cost per person of the first tour), the cost of the insurance went up more than 4 times the original amount . We were shocked as we thought the insurance amount may double but not go up more than 4 times the original amount. Unbelievable!!
