Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip at the last minute because of a death in our family. When I called to find out what was necessary to file a claim, the agent emailed me all of the necessary documents immediately. Once the required information was submitted, I received the payment for our claim within about 10 work days. We're certainly glad we had this coverage.

The good news: I did not have to file a claim.
The bad news: I took too long to make the decision to buy the insurance. Should have purchased as soon as the trip was booked.

We were glad we had no incidents on our recent cruise and land tour to Alaska but were comforted nonetheless that we were covered. We are very pleased with Nationwide and always insure significant trips. We insured our European trip the year before last. During that trip, we had an incident in Barcelona in which Nationwide reimbursed our losses entirely. I highly recommend Nationwide and it was less expensive than what we would have had to pay if we insured our trip through the cruise line.
