For me, the value of this type insurance is the amount of medical evacuation coverage it provides. You can buy policies for about the same amount which do not provide the same medical evacuation coverage.

Unfortunately my cruise was cancelled, but fortunately the cruise line reimbursed us for the cost of the cruise. I didn't insure our airfare because it was partially paid w/ skymiles and that was my own fault for doing it that way. Since the cruise line only reimbursed our cruise cost we ended up paying a lot out of pocket because of our flights. I have always been very happy with the fight insurance we buy and I'm sure it would have worked great under normal circumstances.

Since I didn't need to use insurance, I'm not sure if all items were covered. However, the price was great and I felt confident having it. Would definitely use it again.
