Thanks for the notice before our trip. We would have like to have added the rental fee of our vacation home to the insurance, but we had paid that fee a year earlier. This is our first time purchasing trip insurance, so we will know better next time!

I feel the product is worth the money when planning a trip in advance. We used Nationwide in the past for a claim and were 100% happy with their response. Insuremytrip allows you to hand over the details to another party to help you with a claim, or question. We did not personally have contact with them. The price through Insuremytrip was not more expensive than direct purchase with Nationwide, so there is an advantage if you would like that assistance. I would purchase trip insurance again with Nationwide.

Luckily, we never had to use the plan during our vacation. The process to obtain the insurance for our trip was quick and easy. We will definitely use InsureMyTrip for future vacations.

While fortunately i did not need to implement my plan, it was a huge peace of mind knowing I had coverage. My trip was physically demanding and also not easily accessible (Grand Canyon) so I was reassured I was covered if something happened in the canyon. My friend had the same plan and had to cancel early before the trip due to injury. She had no issues with getting her refunds.

I did not file a claim so I have no knowledge of how Nationwide would process a claim. I chose this policy because it was the only comprehensive coverage that did not require mandatory life insurance coverage, something that is not necessary for me.

What can I say? Insurance is a necessary evil and I had to purchase a policy. This one was adequate and served my needs. I think insurance rates are always too high and that is why the companies can build the biggest buildings with their profits and the consumers struggle to pay all their bills.
