My daughter broke her ankle two weeks before our scheduled departure for Cancun. The break required surgery a week later, then one week before departure. The customer service representative walked me through the claim procedure. I was reimbursed the full amount for which I was insured within three weeks of my claim.

The assurance you get from knowing that your trip is covered if anything goes wrong - sickness, accidents, etc. - is well worth the cost of the trip insurance. One lady broke her arm while boarding the ship and she missed the cruise. We saw another man who had fallen and was taken off on a stretcher. Trip insurance is a good thing to have.
