The descriptions for coverage are vague making it difficult to find what I wanted. In other words, I was looking for coverage that included cancellation for any reason. The way the description uses the EXCLUSION is very confusing. I will probably not use your company again unless you make the language more concise and user friendly.

With an upcoming 16 day Alaskan Cruise and Land Journey, we thought it was prudent to purchase Travel Insurance for peace of mind. Luckily, we didn't have to use it but I felt better knowing it was there "just in case" with an elderly parent back home.

While we didn't use the insurance, I was glad to know we had it if we needed it -- especially because we had some sizeable non-refundable deposits. The price was reasonable and it covered everything we needed. And several times, I thought we might have to use it because it seemed like everything that could go wrong before a vacation did. Less than a week before we left, we had a death in the family that put our travel plans in question. We got that resolved, only to break my toe the night before we left for our trip (which included some extensive hiking). Again, we decided to go through with the trip. And while we didn't need to use the insurance this time around ... I was reminded how quickly life can change your plans.

A lot of the reviews come from folks who were fortunate enough not to have to use the plan, but I wasn't so lucky. I had to cancel my cruise (family medical). I cancelled early enough so there was no penalty from the cruise company, but I had another small deposit that was non-refundable. So I submitted my claim. I admit I was very thorough and included all supporting documents. After submitting my claim, I never heard anything. I think two months had gone by, so I emailed the claims department, and a lady from claims called me back the next day and told me my claim was approved, however, she wasn't sure why I hadn't been sent a check. She said she would have a check issued, and within a few days, the check showed up. So other than that little glitch, I am very happy with this policy.
